I am a purist, a colorist, and a brutal believer in seeing the truth. Rooted in fine art, seeing is a skill and displaying the world with honesty is my passion. The world is not in black and white, empirically and conceptually speaking, and in my work I rely on the truest materials to convey my vision. Commonly known, film has benefits over digital, one being a more resilient dynamic range; capturing true highlights and blacks without the HDR effect— it looks like what you’re seeing. In 2018 I graduated from color print film and dove straight into slide film never to look back. Slide film is the most amazing medium an artist using a camera can use; it is rich with color, accurate with depth and is a positive, not a negative.
Plus, it looks like stained glass when held up to light. Swoon.
